Why install a new home heating system?
There are many reasons why you might be looking to install a new home heating system. You may be in a position where you have a property that has no heating at all in which case, fitting a heating system will make sense to keep the property warm in the winter and provide hot water for you.
If you already have a boiler, then here are a few pointers to help you decide whether you need to replace the boiler or not:
My boiler has failed and I am advised that it will cost too much to fix
When boilers get to a certain age and fail, it can often be very costly to repair. When one part is fixed, you may find that other parts start to fail. The result is that you can end up throwing good money after bad. You might be pleasantly surpised at the cost of a replacement system.
My boiler is obsolete
You may find that it is impossible to get replacement parts for your boiler. At this point you will need to consider its replacement.
My gas bills are high
The high efficiency condensing boiler uses less gas during operation meaning they cost less to run. This equates to significant savings on annual gas bills, which will enable you to recoup the initial outlay for the gas boiler relatively quickly and benefit from the on-going extra savings.
Lack of control
Older systems tend to have less control over heating and hot water temperature. Newer systems are designed to give you more flexibility so that you can choose the temperature that you would like your boiler to produce for your own comfort and the temperature of the hot water.
